About the Centre for Doctoral Training in Green Industrial Futures and our Team
The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Green Industrial Futures (CDT-GIF) is delivering the next generation of global leaders in the energy transition through a world-leading interdisciplinary whole systems research and training programme to realise the green industrial revolution. The centre brings together four of the UKs leading universities and facilities in industrial decarbonisation Heriot-Watt University Imperial University of Bath and the University of Sheffield. students will be trained over 5 cohorts conducting research in technologies and systemic approaches that will be adopted to lower industrial emissions whilst ensuring a just and economically-viable transition including carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS); hydrogen & sustainable fuels; CO2removal technology; and energy & resource efficiency.
Detailed Description
Based at Heriot-Watt Universitys Riccarton campus in Edinburgh the role holder will be responsible for implementing our CDTs accredited training and professional development programme. This varied role will involve liaising with academics students and training providers and ensuring high- quality delivery and management of all related processes. The programme is delivered through a number of residential training events held at Heriot-Watt and our partner universities as well as regular online training sessions with the students.
The role-holder will be an energetic self-starter with an ability to make decisions and work to deadlines. Reporting to the Centre Manager you will work closely with the CDT Director and Management Board focusing on ensuring the smooth administration and delivery of the training addition the role holder will also be involved in aspects of ongoing student recruitment and handling ongoing enquiries from current students.
