Job Summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented Head of Modern Foreign Languages (French & Spanish) to join an Outstanding secondary school in Essex. This leadership role offers the chance to oversee a flourishing department and promote a culture of linguistic passion global awareness and academic achievement.
The successful candidate will teach French and/or Spanish across KS3KS5 while leading a team of dedicated linguists to maintain high standards of teaching and student progress. The school values languages as a key part of its curriculum and regularly celebrates cultural events trips and international partnerships.
The MFL Department enjoys strong uptake at GCSE and A-Level supported by excellent digital and language lab resources. As Head of Department you will be instrumental in developing innovative approaches to language teaching and leading professional development within your team.

Requirements:
- QTS and a degree in French Spanish or Modern Foreign Languages
- Proven experience teaching both French and/or Spanish to A-Level
- Experience leading or supporting departmental improvement
