GSR Group proudly owns and operates Wingstop franchise locations providing outstanding food and exceptional service to our guests. We are expanding our support team to include an Accounting Clerk who will play a key role in ensuring seamless financial operations within the company.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our finance this role you will assist with the day-to-day accounting functions including data entry bookkeeping maintaining financial records and processing invoices. You will ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and that any discrepancies are addressed in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable/Receivable:
Process and track incoming and outgoing payments.
Prepare and issue invoices receipts and payment reminders.
Maintain accurate records of transactions and balances.
Data Entry & Record Keeping:
Enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets.
Ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
Reconcile bank statements and company credit card accounts.
Billing & Collections:
Assist with billing and payment collections working directly with clients/vendors when needed.
Follow up on overdue payments and resolve any billing discrepancies.
General Ledger:
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports.
Support senior accountants in maintaining the general ledger and assisting with month-end closing.
Administrative Support:
Provide general office support including filing and organizing financial documents.
Respond to inquiries regarding invoices payments and financial records.
Perform other accounting-related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma required. Associates degree or certification in accounting or finance is preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero or Sage) is a plus.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic office software (Word Outlook).
Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
