Job Summary
FairJourney Biologics is a world leading CRO on antibody discovery engineering characterization and production based in Porto Portugal.
Within an intercultural and multidisciplinary environment as a Billing & AR Specialist youll play a key role in ensuring timely invoicing and collections working closely with clients. Tasks
- Prepare and issue client invoices based on contracts and system data
- Coordinate billing and client information with relevant teams
- Respond promptly to client billing inquiries
- Maintain and update client master data accurately
- Manage the collection of outstanding balances from clients
- Monitor daily incoming payments to confirm receipt of expected amounts
- Follow up with clients regarding overdue balances in line with internal procedures
- Collaborate with external departments to resolve discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist in preparing budgets and performing variance analysis
- Provide support to accountants senior accountants and accounting supervisor as needed
Requirements
- Degree in accounting finance or a related field. Certificate in accounts receivable are a plus
- 2-4 years of experience in billing accounts receivable or similar financial role
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g. NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong accuracy in managing invoices payments and financial records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to delivering excellent client service and resolving billing issues efficiently
