Application Engineer EFSS

We are looking for an Application Engineer to join our customers Tower & Airport Systems division and work on EFSS (Electronic Flight Strip System) a mission-critical application used 24/7 in air traffic operations to ensure safe and efficient flight coordination.

Tasks

• Work hands-on with the EFSS (Electronic Flight Strip System) application in close collaboration with the Application Owner.
• Maintain and update system requirements and specifications in compliance with EU aviation standards and regulations.
• Produce quality assurance compliance and testing documentation required in a regulated safety-critical environment.
• Provide engineering support to investigate and resolve operational incidents in a 24/7 context.
• Test integrate and validate application deliveries from suppliers including validation with Air Traffic Controllers.
• Monitor the evolution of the customers IT architecture and ensure system compatibility.
• Set up and maintain various environments (development testing operational).
• Contribute to test automation initiatives by improving existing tools and scripts over time.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in IT Telecommunications Aeronautics or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing industrial or mission-critical applications with strong compliance quality and safety requirements.
• Solid knowledge of requirements and test engineering in regulated environments.
• Strong experience with Linux (Red Hat 7) scripting and a solid understanding of networking and IP protocols.
• Familiarity with virtualized infrastructures and basic understanding of service-oriented architectures (SOA).
• Analytical mindset attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative team player with a proactive constructive and agile mindset capable of growing towards autonomy.
• Languages: English fluent (C1); French or German is an asset.
