Employment Type: PRN
Pay Rate: $10 - $14/hr; (Negotiable based on experience)
Shifts Available: 8-hr Shifts
- 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM 11:00 PM
- 11:00 PM 7:00 AM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to join our healthcare team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. The ideal candidate will assist in providing high-quality care and support to elderly residents in a safe clean and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including bathing dressing grooming toileting feeding and mobility assistance.
- Measure and record vital signs such as temperature blood pressure pulse and respiration.
- Assist residents with daily activities and encourage independence when possible.
- Observe and report changes in residents physical or emotional condition to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Support a clean organized and safe living environment for residents.
- Follow all infection control and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with residents families and interdisciplinary team members.
- Uphold resident rights and treat all individuals with dignity and respect.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
