Job Summary

Title: JCL/Batch Engineer

Location: Columbus GA

Description:

JCL/Batch Engineer will CA-7 scheduling experience will be responsible for test environment cell set up remediating jobs and procedures to address precision impacts in utilities datasets and file flows.
This includes modifying JCL steps and PROCs SORT/ICETOOL cards and utility control statements as well as adjusting DD statements and file attributes as needed in an automated way.
Working knowledge of REXX and associated automation or with python is required.
The engineer must ensure restart and recovery logic of entire batch flows remains intact while segregating functionality scheduling dependencies and batch window performance.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience with JCL on z/OS proficiency in utilities such as DFSORT and familiarity with GDGs VSAM and flat file processing.
Knowledge of enterprise schedulers and strong batch performance optimization skills are also required.
