Physical Therapist Assistant - Home Health
Locations: Brenham and Desoto TX
Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $35 $45/hr
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-time Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Brenham and Desoto TX. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide essential therapy services in the comfort of patients homes contributing positively to their overall health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing physical therapy programs as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients achieve their mobility and functional goals.
- Conducting home visits to provide therapeutic treatments and exercises to improve patients physical function and independence.
- Monitoring patient progress and making adjustments to treatment plans as needed in consultation with a supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educating patients and their families on exercises and activities that can aid in recovery and improve quality of life.
- Documenting patient care activities and progress accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current PTA license in the state of Texas.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Minimum of one year of experience in home health as a physical therapist.
- Previous experience in a home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients families and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently manage time efficiently and adapt to changing situations in a home care environment.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation for home visits.
Working Conditions:
- This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule to accommodate patient needs.
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position including lifting transferring and providing manual therapy to patients.
