Global Business Process Specialist - Period End Closing

Your goal will be to provide strategic support to the organization by designing aligning and driving the implementation of modern efficient global processes. You will be a key partner for business teams promoting a culture of efficiency and standardization and navigating the company through complex operational and systems landscapes with a particular focus on the challenges and opportunities of the digital era.

The opportunity:

As the Global Business Process Specialist - Period End Closing reporting directly to the Sub-Chapter Lead you will step into an empowered highly visible role that drives core operational efficiency and standardization across the entire organization. This position offers the chance to:

  • Own global strategy & design: Take ultimate ownership as the empowered decision-maker for designing and implementing state-of-the-art processes across all global divisions within your dedicated E2E process area.

  • Drive strategic transformation: Serve as a key Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Lead in high-visibility corporate initiatives including post-merger Integrations and global ERP deployments.

  • Influence end-to-end BPM: Drive and execute the organizations comprehensive Business Process Management (BPM) strategy translating strategic guardrails into tangible cross-divisional operational solutions.

  • Lead innovation and automation: Actively benchmark against external market insights and best practices to identify justify and implement major improvements and automation initiatives. You will actively drive the further automation of the Smart Close Month End Closing process.

  • Establish global standards: Be the architect of efficiency responsible for achieving maximum standardization harmonization and lean design across complex global and cross-functional processes.

  • Control process governance: Manage the full governance cycle including defining key performance metrics prioritizing change requests and ensuring robust process compliance monitoring globally.

  • Build an extensive network: Cultivate a vast high-level global collaboration network working directly with E2E Global Process Managers IT leaders and business affiliates worldwide.

  • Deliver holistic solutions: Be accountable for delivering integrated solutions that encompass the full scope of process technology and analytics within your area of responsibility.

Who you are

  • A Bachelors degree in Finance Business Administration Informatics Engineering or a comparable education.

  • 5-7 years of professional experience in Business Process Management Finance & Accounting or equivalent function.

  • Possess deep E2E process understanding and strong technical expertise in areas like SAP FI/CO IFRS Accounting and compliance regulations (ICFR Transparency Laws).

  • Proficient in formal process improvement methodologies such as: BPM Six Sigma (DMAIC) Scrum Lean PDCA Kaizen.

  • Maintain an agile mindset thrive in environments with ambiguity and have a proven ability to take decisive action while maintaining high attention to quality and detail.

  • Demonstrate strong influencing and collaboration skills to successfully navigate complex global matrix structures and multicultural teams.

  • Possess the dual expertise of strong business knowledge (to discuss assess and justify business requirements) and robust IT knowledge (to discuss and assess the feasibility of the technical solution).

  • Detailed technical knowledge about the Blackline Smartclose solution and automation functionalities within that.

  • Excel at change management and conflict resolution ensuring organizational buy-in for new processes by maintaining a strong customer-centric mindset.

  • Business fluent in English with willingness to travel internationally (up to 10%).
