R&D Technician

Status: Full-time Hourly

Reports to: Sr. Director of R&D

About the Role

VahatiCor a T45 Labs portfolio company is seeking a hands-on R&D Technician to support development of next-generation catheter and interventional devices. This individual will perform in-house R&D testing build prototypes maintain lab equipment and assist engineers in process and product development activities in a fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Support engineers in prototyping assembly and testing of catheter and interventional devices.

Prepare and set up test fixtures equipment and instruments for R&D evaluations.

Execute test protocols record data accurately and maintain laboratory notebooks and logs.

Assist with development and refinement of test methods and fixtures.

Help maintain laboratory equipment tools and work areas in safe and calibrated condition.

Perform in-process inspections and measurements to support design and process evaluations.

Partner with engineers to troubleshoot document and resolve technical issues.

Support preparation of reports data summaries and technical documentation.

Qualifications

Associates degree in engineering technology preferred or equivalent technical training.

13 years of hands-on experience in medical device R&D process development or testing environment.

Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel for basic data analysis tracking and clear written communication.

. Familiarity with catheter or interventional devices strongly preferred.

Basic understanding of test equipment measurement tools and laboratory practices.

Comfortable with mechanical assembly inspection tools (microscope calipers etc.) and handling delicate parts.

Strong organizational and documentation skills; attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic startup environment.

Eligibility

Location & Compensation

This is an onsite role based in Santa Clara CA and is open to candidates living within a reasonable commuting distance of our office. At this time we are not considering applicants who would need to relocate either within or outside of is no relocation package available.

Salary ranges are based on San Francisco Bay Area market data. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as experience skills qualifications and abilities relevant to the role as well as the geographic location of the individual hired.

The anticipated salary range of this position is $32 to $43 per hour based on San Francisco Bay Area market data. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as years of experience and skills.

Please note that the top of the salary range is reserved for candidates who demonstrate exceptional qualifications and experience directly aligned with the requirements of the role. Most candidates should expect to receive an offer within the mid-range of the posted range based on these considerations.
