Senior Mechanical Engineer (ASMENavy Projects)

Were hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of mechanical and thermal systems with a focus on heat exchanger design. Youll manage engineering projects ensure compliance with ASME codes and support manufacturing operations from concept to production.

What Youll Do:

• Design custom heat exchangers to meet customer and ASME requirements

• Perform detailed ASME calculation (Section VIII III V IX)

• Lead and manage long-term multi-phase engineering projects

• Resolve manufacturing and production issues with hands-on engineering solutions.

• Collaborate with drafting teams to develop drawings and bills of materials

• Conduct thermal and pressure testing in our on-site test lab

• Drive continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives

• Contribute to Xylem Watermark volunteer programs and sustainability efforts

What Youll Bring:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering

• 5 plus years of experience in mechanical engineer or related field

• Strong background in CAD and PTC Creo

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite

• Experience with ASME code design (especially Section VIII III V IX)

• Familiarity with military standards and specifications is preferred

• Proven project management and team collaboration skills

Work Environment:

• Office/Mfg. Plant: 50/50

• Minimal travel required

The estimated salary range for this position is $ 100k to $115k with a pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills experience and work location and is not typically at the top of the range.
