Job Summary
Overview
Functions as a member of patient care team. Responsible for duties related to the clerical/operational functions of the nursing unit. Functions as a member of patient care team under the supervision and direction of a licensed nurse in providing competent care to patients according to their individual needs. Performs basic patient care directed at the safety comfort personal hygiene and protection of patients.
Qualifications
- Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: Current CPR certification. CNA certification preferred
- Education: High school Diploma or equivalent
- Experience:
- Preferably a minimum of one-year acute care hospital experience.
Special Qualifications:
- Nursing assistant competency
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Medical terminology and transcription skills.
- Filing skills.
- Clear legible penmanship.
- Computer knowledgeable.
