One (1) Special Education Therapeutic Program GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESImplements instructional objectives in accordance with each students Individualized Education Program (IEP).Implements individualized behavioral programs and provides research-based behavioral interventions and social/emotional support to works with students experiencing mental health social or emotional challenges in the elementary school setting and communicates effectively with staff regarding these de-escalation strategies with students in moments of collaboratively with each students general education teacher school counselor and other support as case manager for students in the cooperatively with general education staff to ensure a mutual understanding of each students ongoing communication to parents and other team members regarding student and manages a schedule of teaching activities and maintains current student supports students across different grade levels and subject areas as confidentiality regarding student status and technology to facilitate student learning such as web-based educational programs and other digital learning smooth student transitions and positive social interactions within the school QUALIFICATIONSCertification as a Special Educator (Elementary Level).Documented experience with students who have significant mental health social/emotional or behavioral or documented training in a research-based Crisis Prevention or De-escalation Program.
