Job Overview

Our client is a waste recycling facility located in North Richmond near the Knight Street Bridge.

This position requires:

A valid BC Drivers License
At least 2 years Experience working with a Counter Balance Forklift
At Valid Counter Balance Forklift Operator License
Ability to work Monday to Friday from 3PM to 11PM
Accept a starting rate of $19 per hour
A permanent resident or citizen of Canada

Willingness to be hired full-time and commit to full-time work. This is a Temporary to Permanent Role.

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our clients dynamic team in a fast-paced waste recycling outdoor and covered environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a counter balance forklift and have the physical capabilities to lift to 50 pounds. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of operations within the waste recycling facility.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts
Load and unload products from delivery vehicles ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts to ensure safety and functionality.
Assist in heavy lifting tasks as needed adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain an organized work environment.

Required Skills:

Requirements: Applicants need to currently live in the Greater Toronto Area preferably Mississauga or Brampton. Responsibilities: Load / unload products manually off of containers trailers or re-palletize skidded product. Keeping track of correct piece count and weight and verifying information with paperwork Notify Supervisor of any piece count discrepancies damaged or defective freight Load/unload freight carefully to avoid damage Label freight accurately when needed Comply with Company Health and Safety policies and procedures of the warehouses entered Qualifications: 1. Lumper experience ( highly regarded not required) 2. Ability to drive or commute to jobs 3. Steel toe boots 5. High-vis vest 6.
