The Opportunity
We are looking for a Shipper for our Hannon location. This position will be reporting to the Shipping Supervisor. The key responsibility is to ensures accurate preparation packaging and coordination of outgoing shipments to meet delivery timelines.
What Youll Do
- Process orders to meet delivery schedule for requested pick up time.
- Provide substitutions or replacements where necessary
- Pack products on pallets to avoid any damage
- Label and pack pallets according to customer requirements
- Product is loaded on truck according to delivery schedule
- Make arrangementswith carrier for any shipmentsrequiredto ship outside carrier
- Report any product returns to Customer Service
- Perform weekly cycle counts -minimum 1x per week
- Review packing slips on all supplier orders ensuring accuracy.â
- âReport damaged product or shortages to Customer Serviceimmediately.ââ
- Sign all packing slips detailing damages and/or shortages.
- Ensure product is put away in warehouse once received from supplier
- Perform product audits if/when necessaryâ
What You Bring
- Valid Counterbalance Propane License
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts
- Previousexperience in a warehouse environment
- Strong communicationskills
- Able to lift at least 50lbs
- Ability to work autonomously and with little direction
- Able to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office
- Detail Oriented
- Exhibit a sense of urgency and be able todemonstratethe ability to solve problems in afast pacedenvironment
