This is a remote position.
As a Data Processing Clerk at our behavioral-health treatment hospital you will support the clinical and administrative teams by accurately processing updating and maintaining important operational and patient-service data. Your work ensures that admissions treatment discharge billing and other functional records are entered timely and correctly helping drive operational efficiency and high-quality care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Input and update data from intake forms treatment logs service records discharge summaries and vendor invoices into the facilitys data systems.
Review source documents for completeness and accuracy; identify and follow up on missing or unclear information with relevant staff.
Maintain filing systems (digital and/or physical) so records are organised archived appropriately and accessible when needed.
Produce routine reports on data entry volumes error rates and backlog status; alert supervisors when issues impact workflow or compliance.
Provide administrative support as neededscanning documents preparing records for audits assisting the billing department with data requests.
Protect sensitive patient staff and operational data by adhering to facility protocols and ensuring compliance with privacy standards and regulations.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or coursework in office technology medical records data entry or related field preferred.
Strong typing skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word) and ability to learn new data systems or records software.
Good organisational and time-management abilities; able to work independently and handle multiple tasks under deadlines.
Effective communication skills for working with clinical treatment and administrative teams to resolve data discrepancies.
Commitment to confidentiality and ability to operate within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Experience in healthcare behavioral health or medical records is a plus but not required.

High School diploma or equivalent required; some college or related credential preferred. Previous experience working in a behavioralhealth psychiatric substanceuse or related facility preferred. Must obtain certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or similar de-escalation training (often required within first 30 days of hire). Excellent interpersonal skills crisisintervention ability and strong observational and documentation skills. Must be at least 21 years old (in some roles) and able to pass required background/criminal checks. Commitment to working flexible schedules including nights weekends and holidays (12-hour shifts).
