SUMMARY:
The Tasting Room Manager for our resort will work with all management staff and the marketing and operational departments to develop and produce the most outstanding resort experience to our guests. This position will be responsible for the overall operating performance guest satisfaction and financial results for our Gift Shop and Tasting Rooms. This includes planning organizing directing and coordinating the operations of all activities associated with these areas.
DUTIES: The following reflects managements definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
- Coordinate the operations and activities of the Tasting Room and Wine Club activities to ensure synergy not only within these two departments but within the resort to reach financial performance and guest satisfaction objectives
- Evaluate changes in guest needs and industry and competitive trends to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes to be made to ensure guest and employee satisfaction and to maintain market dominance and exceptional financial returns.
- Develop annual operating budgets.
- Monitor and maintain financial performance of stated departments within approved budgetary guidelines.
- Responsible for the profit performance of stated departments.
- Responsible for assisting with the overall resolution of internal and external guest problems or complaints.
- Develop annual capital expenditure plans for stated departments.
- Demonstrate and promote teamwork among all management and staff
- Interview train praise coach counsel and discipline according to company standards.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- Minimum of 3 years in the hotel/resort industry.
- Proven track record of leadership management and sales growth.
- Budgeting & Financial Acumen required
- Creative flexible and innovative team player with a positive attitude and professional demeanor and appearance.
- Excellent customer service in addition to written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works primarily indoors throughout shift. Extensive facility. Well-lit room. Minimal exposure to hazardous substances and fumes. Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Calculate figures and amounts. Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Collect interpret and/or analyze complex date and information. Understand and respond to a diverse population.
