- Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials equipment and services for production projects and operations.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans that align with business objectives and manufacturing requirements.
- Identify evaluate and onboard reliable suppliers and contractors while maintaining a robust vendor database.
- Negotiate contracts terms and pricing agreements to secure optimal commercial and technical outcomes for the company.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews to ensure adherence to quality delivery and compliance standards.
- Collaborate closely with Production Projects Finance and Sales teams to forecast material requirements and prevent production delays.
- Monitor market trends pricing fluctuations and supply chain risks to proactively manage procurement challenges.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies ethical standards and statutory regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and review of purchase orders bid analyses and procurement reports for management decision-making.
- Work within the ERP system to track purchase requisitions purchase orders deliveries and vendor performance metrics.
- Participate in the formulation and review of procurement budgets cost-saving initiatives and supplier development programs.
- Perform other related functions as assigned to support operational efficiency and strategic business goals.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing
- Strong communication negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent customer management skills
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite Software (Word PowerPoint Excel Outlook)
- Ability to transmit information effectively i.e. in clear unambiguous terms to customers and distributors.
- Ability to write reports in clear terms using a mixture of words charts graphs etc.
