Job Summary

You prioritise the safety of yourself and others at work both physically and mentally.

In this role youll:

Undertake labouring and manual handling tasks for a variety of bridges and culverts across the district at a sub-trade level.
Undertake a range of functions relating to maintaining timber steel and concrete bridges including assisting other trades and painting when required.
Work under limited supervision perform routine and complex labouring/manual tasks
Safely operate a range of small plant and powered and non-powered hand tools.
Solve routine problems that arise referring to standard guidelines and manuals and collaborate with supervisors to resolve complex problems to minimise risks and achieve work goals
Participate in team meetings planning and activities to support continuous improvement and the achievement of work goals.
Be prepared to work away from home throughout the year and attend after hours call outs when required
Work 19-Days a Month
You will have the opportunity to acquire new skills in plant operations formwork falsework concreting truck driving to further your industry experience.

About you

Were seeking a team-oriented worker who has an eye for detail and is used to working in similar environments.

You must have previous experience as a Bridge/Road Worker Grade 3 level or related civil construction experience.

You must hold the following qualifications:

Construction industry White Card
Valid and current unrestricted NSW drivers licence
Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed

You will have experience operating small plant hand tools and power tools with a keen interest to learn on the job as well.

High risk work tickets and Medium Rigid Licence are desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

We take WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 50 km distance from the Goulburn depot.
