Job Summary
Job Title: Counter Sales Representative
Reports to: Branch Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
The Counter Sales Representative will support walk-in customers with plumbing products special orders and will be responsible for processing transactions maintaining counter inventory levels and ensuring accurate product pick-up.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in identifying their plumbing needs.
- Provide product recommendations and technical assistance to customers based on their requirements.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
- Maintain a clean and organized showroom and ensure that all products are properly displayed.
- Stock shelves and replenish inventory as needed to ensure adequate product availability.
- Answer customer inquiries via phone email or in person and provide information regarding product pricing availability and specifications.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to fulfill customer orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends new product launches and pricing updates.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner striving to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Assist with special promotions events and marketing initiatives as needed.
- Follow company policies and procedures including safety protocols and cash handling guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales targets and provide an exceptional shopping experience for customers.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in plumbing or sales is a plus.
- Proven experience in retail sales preferably in a plumbing or home improvement environment.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing products including fixtures pipes fittings and accessories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Proficiency in using computerized point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work holidays as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects bend stoop and stand or extended periods.
- Positive attitude willingness to learn and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
