Job Summary
As the Market Risk Management team of ING NL we are an energetic team of highly qualified professionals responsible for managing the balance sheet of ING NL. We do this by hedging our interest rate and liquidity risks in close cooperation with the ING Group Treasury department. We maintain close relations with our business stakeholders advise them on product and pricing changes and make them aware of all relevant (macro-economic) trends and consequences such as the developments of the interest rates in the market.
Our Market Risk Management team consists of about 30 experts determined to advise our business stakeholders to deliver on our purpose to achieve sustainable progress for all. Client behaviour is crucial to us and we use lots of data to explore model and forecast it with state-of-the-art modelling methods and technologies. The position offers excellent opportunities to broaden your market risk / asset & liability management and data analytics competencies while further developing your soft skills by advising and collaborating with our stakeholders. Our team is involved in strategic programs such as the transfer of the mortgages administration to STATER and the upgrade of our data deliveries to the BCBS239 norms. Hence we look for colleagues who are keen to contribute to these programs and make an impact.
Roles and responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to work together with various business and data stakeholders on strategic programs such as the transfer of the mortgages administration to STATER. You will play a pivotal role where you will be required to quickly understand the product characteristics relevant for ALM the complex data landscape data models and ETL processes. You play an important role in defining business requirements testing and implementing ALM data using SQL Python and Excel.
Among others you will:
Work with cross-domain multidisciplinary team of professionals on the end-to-end migration of our mortgages administration to STATER focusing on Market Risk Management
Co-develop and implement the MRM NL data strategy incl. modelling data
Take the lead in structuring detailing and fulfilling BCBS239 requirements for MRM
Work closely together with data suppliers to improve prioritize and ensure robust and future-proof data deliveries
How to succeed
An academic degree in a quantitative field
Experience with ING data management requirements (data quality governance lineage)
Project (management) experience in the field of data migrations is preferred
Experience with ALM business requirements ETL data processes and tools (SQL)
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the financial sector (e.g. banking insurance consulting)
Experience in Agile (Scrum) way of working is preferred
Additionally you should have
Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
Interest in financial services an innovative take on banking and an unconditional drive to turn your ideas into reality
Creative and problem-solving mindset
Great team player skills in a multi-cultural environment
A structured way of working
And of course you should be fluent in English
