SCHCADS Award hourly rates ranging from $44 to $48 (dependent on experience)

Your Role

Make a difference by supporting women and families experiencing homelessness. This impactful role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate casework crisis intervention and advocacy to those in will be joining a compassionate and supportive team that values your expertise prioritises your professional development and empowers you to make a lasting difference in your local community.

Your Responsibility

Deliver tailored support through client intakes assessments and case planning.
Engage with individuals sleeping rough or at risk of homelessness connecting them with life skills programs and essential services.
Advocate for clients with government departments courts and service providers.
Ensure a safe welcoming environment for clients while maintaining confidentiality and dignity.
Collaborate with community stakeholders to build strong supportive partnerships.
Maintain professional records meet service targets and contribute to a safe workplace.

You Will Need

TAFE Certificate IV or relevant tertiary study (completed or in progress).
Proven experience supporting vulnerable people especially those facing homelessness
Knowledge of homelessness-related issues like mental health addiction and family breakdown.
Excellent communication skills sound judgment and the ability to manage crises.
NSW driver licence and proficiency in basic computer systems.
Experience working with women/families will be highly regarded
