  • SCHCADS Award hourly rates ranging from $44 to $48 (dependent on experience)

Your Role

Make a difference by supporting women and families experiencing homelessness. This impactful role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate casework crisis intervention and advocacy to those in will be joining a compassionate and supportive team that values your expertise prioritises your professional development and empowers you to make a lasting difference in your local community.

Your Responsibility

  • Deliver tailored support through client intakes assessments and case planning.
  • Engage with individuals sleeping rough or at risk of homelessness connecting them with life skills programs and essential services.
  • Advocate for clients with government departments courts and service providers.
  • Ensure a safe welcoming environment for clients while maintaining confidentiality and dignity.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to build strong supportive partnerships.
  • Maintain professional records meet service targets and contribute to a safe workplace.

You Will Need

  • TAFE Certificate IV or relevant tertiary study (completed or in progress).
  • Proven experience supporting vulnerable people especially those facing homelessness
  • Knowledge of homelessness-related issues like mental health addiction and family breakdown.
  • Excellent communication skills sound judgment and the ability to manage crises.
  • NSW driver licence and proficiency in basic computer systems.
  • Experience working with women/families will be highly regarded
