As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sectors AI/ML & Data Platforms team youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Develops secure high-quality APIs and reviews and debugs code written by others.
Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors product organization and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
Conduct integrity checks to ensure data formats are accurate and consistent.
Create web-based user interfaces for seamless access to resources.
Leverage programming language libraries to generate power point presentation.
Develop comprehensive end-to-end solutions that transform raw data into well-presented outputs.
Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience.
Hands-on experience in designing and developing APIs.
Hands-on practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
Demonstrable ability to code in Python.
Experience in creating web user interfaces.
Foundational knowledge of database concepts.
Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle.
Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security.

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

Exposure to cloud technologies.
Capable of programming in several languages for example Java and JavaScript.
Basic SQL Database knowledge.
