Elite Home Care Day Centers & Transportation is looking for a compassionate and energetic Member Assistant to join our team in Charleston SC! If you have a passion for working with the elderly and young adults with various cognitive and/or physical disabilities in a supportive and engaging environment this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Activity Director in planning and implementing engaging activities including arts crafts exercise spiritual music games & life skills

Provide hands-on personal care (ADL assistance) to members when needed including feeding toileting ambulation and transfers

Foster a positive and interactive environment by engaging with members and their families

Set up and clean activity areas to ensure a safe and organized space. Assist members with activities and encourage participation

Redirect behaviors as needed to promote a supportive atmosphere promote member independence in a positive manner

Monitor and document any changes in client behavior or health reporting to the RN Administrator.

Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

What Were Looking For:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals (preferred)

Must be dependable with reliable transportation and/or a valid drivers license

CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with outgoing personality

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Clean background check and drug test

Physically able to assist members with personal care tasks (toileting ambulation feeding etc)
