About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for trainee sonographers to join Health New Zealand Southern on a full-time fixed-term basis until December 2027. This opportunity will see you based out of Dunedin hospital with visits to Invercargill (and potentially other centres across Te Waipounamu). Te Whatu Ora will pay all training costs and once you are registered with MRTB you will then undertake the PGD through University of Auckland. This course is distance-based learning. The expectation for this role is 36 hours a week hands on learning (scanning) and 4 hours study per week.

This role belongs to the APEX/DHB Collective Agreement and falls between the step 1 ($82400 p.a.) and Step 2 ($87500 p.a. pro-rata) Trainee Sonographer scale.
