We are seeking applications for a Food Services Assistant to join our Catering (Cafe) service at Ballarat on a casual basis.
This position is responsible for duties involved in the provision of Hotel Services to patients and Caregivers within the Hospital.
The Position
Assembly of meal trays for patients according to selections made from individual menu cards.
Preparation and plating of specified items prior to tray assembly.
Delivery and return of patient meal trolleys from kitchen and wards.
Delivery of meal trays to patients according to the time schedule established and agreed upon.
Delivery of beverages to patients according to the agreed schedule.
Collection of meal trays from patients according to the time schedule established and agreed upon.
Stripping of meal trays returned from patients and sorting and separation of components into baskets ready for washing.
Operation of dishwashing machine as directed and in accordance with established safe operating procedures to clean and sanitise trays crockery cutlery and ancillary items. Reloading of these items into the appropriate self-loading dispensers ready for the next meal assembly period.
Cleaning of specified fixtures fittings and equipment within the Hotel Services Department as directed by the Team Leader.
Successful applicants will have demonstrated experience working in a customer service environment excellent interpersonal and communications skills and able to work effectively with a team.

We can offer you
Hourly rate: $33.40 (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% Superannuation
