The Planning Analyst II is responsible for managing inventory planning across the full supply chainfrom raw materials to finished goodsto ensure inventory levels align with company goals and customer requirements. This role oversees demand forecasting and the master production schedule reviews material requirements to ensure timely availability and monitors physical inventories and cycle counts to identify and resolve discrepancies.


The analyst provides input on production impacts related to design changes labor or material shortages backlogs and other potential disruptions. Accurate documentation and system execution are critical to success in this role.


Additionally the Planning Analyst II supports new product development by coordinating pilot builds and managing work orders to ensure readiness for launch.

This position reports to the Manager-Materials Planning and is part of the Consumables Planning team located in Chaska MN and will be an on-site role.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Responsible for developing production/supply plans that take into account forecasts availability of materials and manufacturing capacity.
  • Manages forecasts and finished goods inventory levels to maintain high levels of global On Time Delivery to customers and distribution centers.
  • Responsible for identifying and maintaining the appropriate planning parameters in the Oracle Cloud and Oracle EBS system to optimize finished good subassembly and raw material supply plans.
  • Partner with Development and new product teams for product launches.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at improving planning tools and capabilities as well as improving intermediate and finished good inventory levels.
  • Manage relationships with buyers manufacturing leads other worldwide finished goods planners and other manufacturing sites to maintain visibility to and communicate any potential issues for finished goods supply globally.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelors degree with 2 years of experience in Planning Manufacturing Procurement or a related fieldOR Masters degree in Supply Chain with up to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems: Oracle EBS and Oracle Cloud working knowledge is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office applications especially Excel with the ability to learn new programs that are job specific.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS CPIM and/or CPM certification
  • Experience operating in regulated environments (e.g. FDA GMED NCIS)
  • Background in both finished goods and manufacturing planning for consumable products
  • Hands-on experience with Kaizen Lean 5S or Six Sigma methodologies

The annual salary range for this role is $74K-$90K annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
