STV is currently seeking a Land Development Civil Engineer for its Buildings group in Owings Mills MD which is currently the civil engineer of record for such high-profile projects as Harborplace and Baltimore Peninsula in Baltimore MD. The candidate will collaborate on a wide variety of projects including conceptual master plans schools mixed-use office buildings industrial buildings housing/apartment projects commercial buildings and civil/site structures. The position will allow the individual to collaborate with our civil design team preparing documents associated with a wide variety of land development projects within the Baltimore Metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will have at least a bachelors degree in civil engineering and be a licensed professional engineer. Experience with MicroStation Civil 3D or AutoCAD is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare construction documents permit packages and support construction services.
Utilize design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D MicroStation; HydroCAD; Hydraflow Hydrographs and ArcGIS) to create construction drawings layouts and models for land development projects.
Conduct site investigations and assessments to support design decisions.
Develop sustainable and innovative solutions for site layouts stormwater management grading utilities and erosion/sediment control.
Prepare design calculations technical reports and feasibility studies.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure permits and approvals.
Collaborate with project managers architects and other engineers to integrate site design with overall project goals.
Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project requirements and progress.
Support project managers by monitoring budgets schedules and deliverables.
Stay current with industry trends technology and best practices to enhance project quality.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in civil engineering (required).
Professional Engineering License (required).
7 years of experience in civil/site design land development or a related field.
Familiarity with site development principles including grading drainage stormwater management utilities and erosion/sediment control.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
ArcGIS and Hydraflow Hydrographs HydroCAD experience preferred but not .
Ability to lead permitting processes in Maryland jurisdictions (Baltimore City experience a plus).
Strong problem-solving skills attention to detail and ability to progress multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for client and team collaboration.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation Range:
