Job Summary

DEFINITION: Under immediate supervision performs work of routine difficulty in transporting lunches to a number of schools; and performs related work as required.

Work Length: 6 hours per day

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

Loads and unloads meals from transport vehicle
May supervise student workers
Drives a vehicle in transporting meals to satellite schools
Maintains simple records of routing slips

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Training and Experience: None.

Knowledge of:

Sanitary methods to be used in handling and transporting food

Skills in:

Understanding and following written and oral instructions
Driving a vehicle to transport lunches
Maintaining routine records

Ability to:

Lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

Licenses and Certificates:

A valid California drivers license
