As anHLADD Specialist youll play a vital role in supporting the health safety and well-being of individuals in the HLADD program. Youll work directly with both the people we serve and the independent contractors who provide their daily support offering training guidance and mentorship. This is a hands-on role that blends program coordination relationship building compliance oversight and advocacy.
You will:
Ensure the quality and timeliness of provider payments through invoice and billing processing
Oversee and help implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) ensuring services meet the participants needs
Conduct home and community visits to monitor the health and safety of individuals
Provide support and training to HLADD providers including recruitment and ongoing mentorship
Coordinate services such as medical appointments social activities and personal development opportunities
Monitor documentation for compliance including medication records and incident reports
Represent LADD with professionalism in all interactions with stakeholders including families and outside agencies
Step in with back-up support or direct care when needed

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of related experience OR a 2-year college degree
CPR/First Aid certification
Medication Administration certification
Valid drivers license (with fewer than 6 points) and proof of insurance
Strong computer literacy and organizational skills
Preferred:
Experience in direct care or service coordination in developmental disability services
Comfort with documentation and program compliance
This role requires flexibility your time will be split between office work in-person visits and travel within the local area. A typical schedule is Monday through Friday with occasional evenings or weekends based on program needs.
