Registered Nurse -South Community Mental Health Team

  • Wakari Hospital Permanent 0.9 FTE

  • Salary $81683 - $106739 p.a prorata KiwiSaver

About the Role

In this role youll be part of a multidisciplinary team based out of Wakari Hospital working in a case management capacity to deliver a supportive service to our clients. Youll work autonomously but will be well embedded in a team of dedicated mental health professionals.

This role will include delivering focused nursing treatment and provision of effective case management to a specific patient caseload and with the possibility of crisis work. We will support you by providing an orientation to the role and continuing education and training opportunities.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • New Zealand Registration with a scope of practice that allows you to work in mental health and APC with Nursing Council New Zealand.

  • Previous experience working with people with serious mental illness ideally in a community setting.

  • You will have previously demonstrated a commitment to best practice standards and your model of practice will be inclusive of the seven Real Skills of Lets get real ().

  • You will also hold a strong sense of self and a demonstrated commitment to working cohesively in a large and dynamic multidisciplinary team.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • The ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure.

  • A current full drivers license.
