Job Summary
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) safely provides anesthesia to surgical patients for a variety of operations and/or procedures. The CRNA provides pain medication and anesthesia care for patients before during and after surgery. They administer medications to keep patients asleep or pain-free during procedures and monitor for biological functions of the patients for safe effective outcomes. The CRNA will consult and collaborate with the entire surgical care and interdisciplinary team for patient care planning. The CRNA is responsible for routine maintenance and cleaning of anesthesia equipment.
Qualifications :
Basic Requirements/Certifications:
- Current full active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in a State Territory or Commonwealth (i.e. Puerto Rico) of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- 2 years experience 6 months experience within the past year experience abroad or in austere environment preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required:
Associates Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree - Candidates must be a graduate of a school of nursing that was approved and/or accredited by the appropriate State agency and accredited by either the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) at the time the program was completed.
Physical Requirements:
- Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- Valid US Passport with at least 6 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred.
- Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
- Must be able to read write and speak English to effectively communicate.
Additional Information :
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
