The Service & Team:

This post sits within the Family Information Service and will be part of the Youth Transformation Pilot. The post is currently funded for 12 months

The Role:

The Family Information Service Youth Role involves working within the Family Information Service Team and co-producing with young people and with colleagues the Youth Pages on the FIS Website. The Youth Pages will meet our statutory duty to develop a Youth Offer for young people 13years . The role may also offer information advice and guidance in relation to the development and delivery of the Youth Transformation Pilot and Youth Work in general as part of the Family information Service and include giving support advice and guidance to young people and/or their parents/carers. The Role will have an outreach element and this may include working the occasional evening.

This is a public/customer-facing role where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.

This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.

Working Pattern:

The post will be 37 hours a week Monday to Friday and predominately 9 - 5pm with some occasional evenings.

What youll need to succeed:

A Youth Work qualification or Youth Work experience Information Advice and Guidance qualification. Excellent communication skills. Some digital skills and experience will be useful.

We are happy to accept secondments internally or from external candidates with Manager/organisation consent.
