Oversees the daily planning implementation and maintenance of the manufacturing activities of a specific area. Ensures the effective use of materials equipment and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs. Selects develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance:
Ensure adherence to quality standards in the extrusion manufacturing process.
Monitor production output to meet company and industry regulations.
Conduct regular inspections to guarantee product quality.
Employee Safety:
Implement and enforce safety protocols developed by Safety manager to prevent
workplace injuries.
Train employees on safety procedures and ensure compliance.
Address any safety concerns promptly to maintain a safe working environment.
Process/Production Management:
Oversee the production process from setup to completion.
Optimize production efficiency by adjusting equipment setting as needed.
Troubleshoot issues that may arise during production to minimize downtime.
Mentorship and Team Development:
Provide guidance and mentorship to production associates.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
Conduct performance evaluation and offer constructive feedback for employee growth.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of two year in a production environment preferably in aluminum
extrusion.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent: additional technical training is a plus.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform annual labor tasks.
Skills: Strong organizational skills knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to
read measurements accurately.
Preferred: History of showing initiative familiarity with OSHA safety rules and
experience in mentoring or supervising teams.
Excellent computer skills including Word Excel and Microsoft Office
A self-starter requiring minimal supervision and guidance.
Schedule
8 hour shift with occasional OT as required.
Monday to Friday
Pay Range:
52000.00 - 78000.00
