Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full-time Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components according to specifications. This position requires a combination of technical expertise attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $22-28/hr (DOE)
Shift: 1st and 2nd Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
- Operate press brake machines to bend form and shape metal sheets and plates according to blueprints and work orders
- Set up and adjust press brake machines for different jobs including selecting and installing appropriate dies and tooling
- Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and work instructions to determine job specifications
- Perform precise measurements using various measuring tools such as calipers micrometers and gauges
- Calculate and apply mathematical formulas to determine bend allowances angles and other critical dimensions
- Inspect finished products for quality accuracy and conformance to specifications
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on press brake machines as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Press Brake Operator in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in operating various types of press brake machines including CNC-controlled equipment
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and work instructions
- Excellent shop math skills including the ability to perform calculations for bend allowances angles and dimensions
- Experience with TRIG is a PLUS!
- Experience with different types of metals including steel aluminum and stainless steel
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and inspection techniques
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to press brake operation
- Ability to use precision measuring tools accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in metal fabrication is a plus
