Position: Admissions Counselor
Location: Athens Campus
Department: Division of Student Affairs
Reports to: Director of Admissions
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. State of Georgia benefits package.
Deadline to Apply: October 28 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to requests and inquiries from prospective applicants regarding the colleges programs and services.
- Coordinate the admissions process for specific academic program areas as directed.
- Review student files to verify that all required documents have been submitted and that all admissions requirements have been fulfilled and notify applicants of file status.
- Ensure that applicants meet the appropriate admissions requirements as outlined by program standards.
- Differentiate between competitive and non-competitive program admission requirements.
- Enter information into the BANNER student system and CRM as needed.
- Assist with creation/maintenance of Athens Technical College Admissions web pages and forms.
- Download and maintain web-based applications and transcripts.
- Perform advisement functions when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
- Two (2) years related work experience.
Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of BANNER Student Information System and Salesforce CRM.
- Experience working in an admissions office or student affairs related environment.
- Recruitment experience and knowledge of dual enrollment and international student admission.
