Seattle Public Utilities has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer Supervisor in the Development Services Office (DSO). This leadership position supports Seattles growth by leading a team of engineers who review development plans for extensions of and impacts to SPU water sewer and drainage infrastructure. The role supports the Mayors housing goals by ensuring efficient service delivery to Seattles development community during this period of housing shortages and rising costs. Reporting to the DSO Engineering Manager you will supervise a team of 5 engineers and ensure developer plans comply with City and SPU codes standards and policies. Your team will review projects under Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) Street Use Permits and Utility Major Permits water main extensions outside the City large water service reviews and private development impacting sewer infrastructure on private property.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology (or a combination of education and/or training and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class)
Experience: Six years of professional civil engineering experience including two years of supervisory experience
