Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education

Spare School Secretary

West Hants Area

Hours of work:as needed basis

Terms and conditions of employment including wages are in accordance withthe Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Collective Agreement Local 3876.

Reporting to the school Principal:

Qualifications and Abilities:

  • Must be able to work independently and accurately while on a flexible schedule.
  • Proven secretarial skills with strong communication collaborative and organizational abilities.
  • Completion of recognized degree or diploma program in office administration is required.

Requirements:

  • A demonstrated caring for and interest in working with students.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with students staff parents and the public.
  • The ability to use current office procedures and computer software telephone answering skills and the ability to work with frequent interruptions.
  • Effective written communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm and a pleasant manner.
