We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Business Lead to work onsite with our Austin Texas client. You must have strong experience in IT organizational assessments and stakeholder engagement to help guide our Austin clients transition to a centralized IT structure. You will be working directly with business units and IT teams to gather requirements document current processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency service delivery and alignment with enterprise objectives.
This initiative is our clients strategic effort to consolidate IT resources currently distributed across multiple departments into a unified IT division. The goal is to strengthen IT governance improve user access and security and enhance enterprise-wide visibility and operational reporting. The project involves assessing current IT functions gathering input from departmental staff and developing recommendations to align people systems and processes with an optimized centralized IT operating model
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct interviews and workshops with departmental staff and leadership to understand existing IT roles responsibilities systems and support needs.
* Gather analyze and document business requirements to inform organizational design and resource alignment.
* Develop process maps role descriptions and functional assessments to capture the current state of IT operations across departments.
* Identify gaps redundancies and opportunities for standardization or consolidation of IT functions and services.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define future-state processes governance structures and role expectations that support a centralized IT delivery model.
* Translate business needs into actionable recommendations for infrastructure staffing and service delivery improvements.
* Support the development of communication materials and transition plans to assist in change management and organizational adoption.
* Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings analysis and recommendations for executive leadership.
Requirements
* Proven experience in business analysis organizational assessment or IT strategy consulting.
* Strong interviewing facilitation and documentation skills with the ability to translate user input into clear requirements and recommendations.
* Understanding of IT operations governance models and service delivery frameworks.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience identifying business needs and process improvement opportunities.
Preferred
* Experience with large-scale IT centralization or transformation initiatives.
* Background working with public-sector organizations or government agencies.
* Familiarity with organizational design position classification and workforce planning.
* Knowledge of change management and communication strategies for enterprise initiatives.
