Job Summary
Job Summary:We are seeking a results-driven Project Engineer to support our construction management team. This role works directly with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure field execution aligns with project goals for budget safety and schedule. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Upholds and promotes the Thompson Mission Vision and Values
- Maintain and update logs (change order gravel concrete)
- Create cost estimates and material comparison worksheets
- Travel to job sites and support field leadership
- Manage project invoicing documentation and logs
- Perform hands-on tasks when required to support the team
- Assists Superintendent - obtain all required documentation including certificates lien wavers disclaimers warrantees etc.
- Performs other related duties as assigned/needed up to and including all laborer duties
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Pro-Contractor and Bluebeam
- Strong understanding of construction documents
- Effective time and task management
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience
- Valid drivers license
- CPR and First Aid (training provided)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in construction environments
- Must be able to crouch kneel climb and stand for extended periods
Ability to communicate/relocate:
- Commute to Columbus OH when needed.
