About the Role
Are you passionate about data governance and quality bpha is seeking a Data Governance and Quality Expert to lead the development and implementation of data governance and data quality frameworks across our organisation. This is a pivotal role providing expert guidance designing and delivering training and engaging with senior leaders to embed best practices and ensure data is treated as a strategic asset.
As a Data Governance and Quality Expert you will be:
- Acting as the go-to expert for data governance and data quality influencing and supporting senior leaders to adopt best practices.
- Developing assessing and implementing data governance and data quality frameworks policies and standards.
- Defining and promoting clear roles and responsibilities for data ownership and stewardship.
- Designing and delivering engaging training programmes to increase awareness and capability across the organisation.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders facilitating workshops and gathering feedback.
- Establishing and monitoring KPIs and metrics to track data quality and governance effectiveness leading continuous improvement initiatives.
About you:
- Proven experience in data governance data quality and data management.
- Strong understanding of data-related regulations (e.g. GDPR Data Protection Act).
- Experience designing and delivering training programmes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills especially with senior leaders.
- Ability to translate complex data concepts into accessible language.
- Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
Desirable:
- Experience in change management and organisational transformation.
- Certifications in Data Governance/Data Management (e.g. DAMA DCAM).
- Project or programme management experience.
