Job Summary

Following a recent restructuring within our Finance Department we are seeking additional support to meet increased demand in our Accounts Receivable function. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic finance team making a real difference within One YMCA.

You will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of income sales invoices and contract management within our systems. Your contribution will directly support the delivery of essential community services across our organisation.

This is a part-time role (22.5 hours per week). We are flexible in how these hours are worked and will agree a pattern that best suits both the successful candidate and the needs of the team.

Key Responsibilities
Support the Accounts Receivable function by processing sales invoices promptly and accurately
Manage and maintain income contracts in SAP including monthly deferrals and set-up
Process ad hoc sales invoices including room hire and other service income
Assist with additional income-generating projects such as Dignify and other expanding service areas.
Contribute to improving efficiency and ensuring financial data integrity across the department

About You
Experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
Confidence working with finance systems (SAP experience desirable but not essential).
A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to a busy team environment.

One YMCA and its subsidiaries the Early Childhood Partnership (ECP) and Signpost are on an exciting journey to double our impact by 2025. We are over half way through an exciting new strategy launched in the first hour of the new decade via email where all staff and volunteers were invited to put themselves forward to apply and attend an intensive three-day Kickstarter Event.

  • Housing and practical/emotional support for young asylum seekers
  • Community HUBs hosting a range of activities and meeting space hire
  • Childcare provision in Hertfordshire
  • Family support through a network of childrens and family centres covering Hertfordshire and Bedford
  • Therapeutic and non-therapeutic support for male and female victims of domestic abuse and their children
  • Independent sexual violence services across Bedfordshire Luton and Hertfordshire
  • Domestic abuse perpetrator reform programmes across Bedfordshire
  • Youth services offering emotional wellbeing support and youth club opportunities for 11-19 year olds alongside our National Airplay programme funded by the RAF Benevolent Fund
