Job Role Overview

As a Weekend Care Assistant your role is to provide essential personal care and support to individuals during weekend shifts helping them maintain independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care such as washing dressing and supporting personal hygiene

  • Assisting with meals drinks and light household tasks

  • Offering companionship reassurance and emotional support

  • Prompting or administering medication in line with individual care plans

  • Observing and reporting any changes in wellbeing to the office or on-call team

  • Travelling between service users within Swadlincote (fuel allowance provided)

  • Working weekend shifts only as part of a rota



Pay Rates


Non-Qualified Carers: 13.00 per hour
Qualified Carers (Level 2): 14.00 per hour


(Enhanced rates may apply depending on hours worked)

  • Shadowing shifts competency support and guidance before working independently

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Access to your own vehicle

  • Availability for weekend shifts only

  • Caring reliable and compassionate nature

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Previous care experience is welcome but not essential full training provided
