Personal Assistant to the Dean of Business and Economics (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 533482) to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
The Faculty of Business and Economics is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Personal Assistant to support the Dean of our prestigious and dynamic Faculty. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a visionary leader. The appointee will play a pivotal role in ensuring the Deans priorities are executed efficiently focusing on high-level responsibilities that drive the Facultys success.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Strategic Support: Assist the Dean in preparing high-quality proposals reports and presentations following meetings with the Management Team;
Meeting Coordination: Organize and prepare for key meetings including agenda creation material preparation and follow-up on action items;
Project Management: Oversee and manage special projects on behalf of the Dean ensuring timely and successful completion;
Communication Liaison: Serve as a liaison between the Dean and internal/external stakeholders maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality at all times;
Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on strategic initiatives industry trends and academic developments to support informed decision-making; and
Time Management: Optimize the Deans schedule ensuring efficient use of time and prioritization of high-impact activities.
Requirements:
A good bachelors degree is required preferably in business administration management or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of work experience in a public/quasi-public organization or a related sector. Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment as Administrative Assistant II;
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) is required along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen ability to learn and adapt; and
Highly motivated diligent proactive detail-oriented and well-organized. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits:
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
