The merger will also strengthen our workforce providing new training education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026 all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

About the Department

The Nuclear Medicine and PET Department provides a comprehensive range of nuclear medicine diagnostic and therapeutic services including positron emission tomography (PET) for inpatients and outpatients. The department includes a team of nuclear medicine specialists nuclear medicine technologists cardiac technologists clerical staff and physicists.

About the Role

Applications are open for a Specialist in Nuclear Medicine to commence in February 2026 working 0.75 EFT.

The successful applicant will be required to provide excellent clinical expertise in Nuclear Medicine and PET to support Alfred Healths teaching research and clinical governance programs and to support the strategic priorities and values of Alfred Health.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions undertakings or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice
• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists or Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Physicians.
• Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Nuclear Medicine & PET
• Must meet Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Nuclear Medicine & PET
