A thriving independent boarding and day school in Somerset is seeking a creative and skilled Art Teacher to join their Visual Arts Department from January 2026. The school has around 750 pupils aged 1118 with an ethos that balances academic achievement with creativity and individuality.

About the Role
This full-time permanent position involves teaching Art & Design across KS3KS5 supporting students as they develop portfolios for GCSE A Level and university applications. You will deliver engaging lessons across a range of media painting sculpture ceramics and digital design encouraging personal exploration and creativity.
Facilities include spacious light-filled studios a Mac suite for digital art printmaking rooms and dedicated gallery spaces. The department also hosts artist-in-residence programmes and creative workshops throughout the year.
You will also:
Lead extracurricular activities and after-school art clubs
Curate exhibitions showcasing student achievement
Support creative collaborations with local artists and galleries
Participate in the annual arts festival and inter-school competitions

Experience and Qualifications
QTS/PGCE and degree in Art & Design or Fine Art
Strong creative and technical background
