An Outstanding 1118 secondary school in Bath is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Science Teacher to join their thriving Science Faculty on a full-time maternity cover basis from January 2026. The Science Department is one of the most dynamic faculties within the school consistently achieving outstanding GCSE and A-Level results. About the Role
The appointed teacher will teach Science across KS3KS5 specialising in Biology Chemistry or Physics depending on expertise. You will deliver engaging experiment-driven lessons that encourage analytical thinking teamwork and problem-solving. The maternity cover is expected to run through the full academic term and may extend depending on departmental needs.

You will be joining a collaborative and supportive team of 12 Science specialists who work closely to design creative and practical lessons. Each classroom is equipped with modern interactive displays and the department has access to fully refurbished laboratories data-logging software and dedicated technician support.

In addition to classroom teaching you will:
Support GCSE and A-Level students in exam preparation and coursework
Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative resource sharing
Participate in school-wide initiatives promoting STEM education
Engage in enrichment activities such as Science Week and external competitions

Experience and Qualifications
