Summary:
-
Provide technical expertise in testing aircraft systems troubleshooting and repairing discrepancies to minimize schedule impact.
-
May serve as backup to the Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician supporting company goals in safety quality and schedule adherence.
-
Perform operational testing and troubleshooting of avionics and aircraft systems.
-
Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components and systems per engineering drawings specs and manuals.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve system/process issues to ensure high-quality efficient repairs.
-
Use industry-accepted repair techniques including soldering splicing and pinning.
-
Incorporate engineering changes and modifications as required.
-
Set up and operate test equipment; conduct functional and reliability testing.
-
Ensure all work is properly documented and ready for inspection.
-
Test and maintain electronic systems and related test equipment.
-
Adhere to FOD tool control 5S and safety programs.
-
Adapt to schedule changes as needed.
-
May participate in aircraft certification and final phase flight testing.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two (2) years of accredited aviation electronics schooling plus two (2) years of related experience.

FAA A&P license preferred.
-
FCC and/or NCATT certifications preferred.
-
Proficiency in troubleshooting other aircraft systems (e.g. hydraulics landing gear flight controls environmental controls or structures) is preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-
Must be able to climb ladders/stairs work in confined areas and lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
