Job Summary

Job title: Senior Designer - Platform Engineering
Duration: 12 months contract
Location: 100% remote may be required to travel on an occasional basis (Quebec)
Bilingual : Yes (English French)

Project Context:

The Senior Platform Engineering Designer is responsible for the detailed technical and systems design of solutions related to the companys technology platforms. This role involves the creation of structured innovative high-performance and reusable components that integrate harmoniously into the IT ecosystem. The Lead Designer acts as a technical leader for the delivery team oversees the implementation of solutions and ensures compliance with integration design development and information security standards.

Tasks and skills sought:

Design and document platform components that are robust scalable and aligned with business needs.
Collaborate closely with IT architects and stakeholders to ensure solutions are consistent with strategic directions.
Supervise and supervise the delivery team ensure the preservation of the integrity of the design and intervene on the most complex components.
Promote the reuse of existing components and participate in the choice of external software packages services or components (e.g. cloud computing).

Profile:

More than 10 years of experience in information technology including at least 2 years in platform engineering.
Mastery of the techniques reference frameworks and methodologies specific to platform engineering.
Experience with continuous deployment concepts and tools (e.g. DevOps).
Experience with automation tools (e.g . Ansible Automation Platform)
Excellent communication skills technical popularization and ability to synthesize.
Natural leadership ability to influence and guide delivery teams and employees.
Strong ability to identify and solve problems.
Coordination negotiation and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry is an asset.
