We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant dedicated candidate to join our team in providing personalized care and support to individuals living with dementia in our Nursing Home based in Co Kildare Permanent Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Deliver holistic person-centred care to residents promoting equality dignity and independence.
Assist residents with activities of daily living including washing dressing toileting dining and social engagement.
Provide support to residents with limited mobility ensuring safety and comfort.
Follow and understand individual care plans reporting any changes in physical or mental condition to nurses.
Respond promptly to incidents or potential risks affecting residents or visitors safety.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents staff and visitors.
Communicate effectively and compassionately with residents families and colleagues.
Support and participate in recreational social and therapeutic activities for residents.
Respect residents privacy dignity and cultural needs at all times.
Collaborate with the care team to enhance the quality of care and service delivery.
Requirements
QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent qualification
OR Nursing Allied Health or Healthcare-related Degree
Minimum of 2 years experience in elder care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
Supervisory and motivational skills
Ability to support and guide residents and care staff effectively
Knowledge of elder care best practices and person-centred care
